energiScada™ visualises data
AMS analysis shows where OLTC, a battery system or a voltage booster gives the best improvement, and where the grid has to be rebuilt.
As part of the OLTC project, Elvia has created analyses that find where different tools for improving voltage quality work best. AMS data for all the customers connected to a substation is analysed, and from this Elvia identifies which substations have to be upgraded with traditional grid reinforcement, and where other methods can be used.
The right measure in the right place
OLTC, battery or booster?
With these analyses, Elvia wants to learn where voltage quality can be improved with OLTC alone, and where a battery system or a voltage booster (MVB) is better. The work also looks at criteria for where a combined solution would be best.
Sizing
The analysis tool can also be used to size battery systems and boosters, and was used in this way for the FBI project at Sjusjøen.
From analysis to measurement
The same platform is used in Energea's voltage quality measurement service, where PQ meters supplement the AMS data with near real-time measurements.
